Paradise starts out innocent: bergamot, lemon, mandarin and a pinch of cinnamon, bright and full of promise, like the first hour of a holiday. Then things get beautifully complicated. Cedar, jasmine, patchouli and tobacco bring the air of an old library into the room, all leather armchairs and well kept secrets.

Sandalwood, myrrh, tonka and vanilla close the story in a resinous warmth that lingers until the next day. Light it with a glass of whisky, a conversation that runs late, or an evening when you fully intend to give in to temptation.
